Corona goes to a nude beach


The image I have chosen for my paper is a Corona advertisement. Corona has branded itself with their consistent use of understated beach ads. At first glance, the ad seems very simple and promotes a sense of relaxation, but once you read the "Nude Beach" sign and notice that the bottle is indeed nude, it promotes a slightly different message. In my paper I will discuss how the use of the outdoors, especially the beach, Corona's use of branding, their slight humor, the coloring, simple text and the text's message contribute to Corona's image and the ideology they have created for their product and their consumers. I already know this ad is successful because it's working on me...all I want to do is be at the beach. ahhhhh
