Oh, Peggy
I don't quite know what episode I am going to choose, but I would like to do my paper on Peggy Olson from Mad Men. It seems like Peggy could be seen as some kind of liberal feminist figure, working her way from a secretary position to a copywriter in the male dominated field of advertising. Her romantic or sexual relationships with men are not quite typical, and often are represented as something that could be holding her back from the "big time" (her sexual encounter with Pete produces the baby, which sets her back at a crucial point in her career, Duck was trying to bring her to another firm, etc). In the show she kind of represents a bit of the future and alludes to a time when women will be more common in the workplace and whatnot. Anyway, I haven't quite fleshed this out as much as some people, but I think she might be an interesting character to study.
